CCTV, Event Media & Marketing Use

We operate CCTV and video/audio recording systems throughout our premises for security, safety, quality control, and customer experience documentation. These recordings may capture images or voices of guests.

In addition, we produce footage during events for use in:

  • Guest replays and group media galleries (accessed through our Attendee Dashboard)
  • Promotional material, social media content, and advertising campaigns

Footage is only made available to event participants or used for promotional purposes where all checked-in members of the group have consented to its use.


Guests Aged 13–17

ScreamWorks permits attendees aged 13 and older for certain shows. While awaiting legal advice regarding data processing for minors, we apply the following safeguards:

  • Consent from a parent or guardian is required for guests under 18.
  • We collect only essential data necessary for event participation and safety.
  • Any footage or personal data relating to individuals under 18 will not be used for marketing unless we have obtained appropriate parental consent.

Data Retention

We retain Personal Data only for as long as necessary:

  • Check-in and booking data: up to 12 months
  • CCTV footage: typically retained for 60 days unless required for investigation
  • Event footage: retained for the specified number of days shown in your booking (usually 14 days)
  • Marketing preferences: until consent is withdrawn
  • Legal records: as required under applicable UK law

Your Rights Under GDPR and DPA

You have the right to:
